Dream Point After Dark: Dublin's Most Unexpected Date Night
Forget cocktail bars and cinema dates. There's a new Friday night in Dublin and it's nothing like anything you've done before.
Dream Point After Dark is a full adults-only takeover of Ireland's most immersive experience venue, running every Friday evening after the families head home and the Docklands quietens down. Eight rooms, complimentary drinks, and Ireland's biggest ball pit.
It's become the Dublin date night nobody saw coming. Here's everything you need to know.
What Is Dream Point After Dark?
Every Friday evening, Dream Point transforms. The lights shift, the music changes, and the entire venue — all 21,000 square feet of it — is handed over exclusively to adults aged 18 and over.
You get full access to every immersive room, a complimentary drink on arrival, and time to explore, laugh, and rediscover the part of yourself that's been sitting in too many meetings.
It's not a club night. It's not a theatre show. It's something entirely its own.
The Drinks
Every guest receives a complimentary welcome drink on arrival. Choose from a selection of prosecco, beer, or a soft-drink alternative.
Additional drinks are available to purchase throughout the evening at the Dream Café, including wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options. The bar stays open for the duration of the After Dark session.
How to Get There
Dream Point is on the first floor of Point Square Shopping Centre, East Wall Road, North Wall, Dublin 1 (D01 E0K6), right in the heart of the Docklands.
By Luas
The Red Line stops directly at The Point, a two-minute walk from the venue entrance. From the city centre, it's a short and straightforward journey. Late Friday services make it a stress-free option for a night out.
By Bus
Several Dublin Bus routes serve the Docklands, with stops on North Wall Quay and East Wall Road. Routes 151 and 53 both stop within comfortable walking distance of Point Square. Check the TFI Journey Planner for the most direct route.
By Car
Point Square Shopping Centre has a multi-storey car park accessed from East Wall Road. Demand is higher on Fridays, so arriving slightly before your session start time is recommended.
On Foot or by Bike
From the IFSC, Connolly Station, or the north city centre, Dream Point is an easy 15–20 minute walk along the quays. Secure bike parking is available at Point Square.
How to Book
Dream Point After Dark runs every Friday evening. Simply select your Friday date, choose the After Dark session, and complete your booking online.
A limited number of tickets are available each week and Friday nights can sell out, so booking in advance is strongly recommended. Gift cards are also available if you'd like to give the experience as a present.
Why It Works as a Date Night
Most date nights ask you to sit across from someone and talk. Dream Point After Dark gives you something to do together. For a first date, that removes the pressure entirely; for long-term couples, it's a reminder of how much fun it is to try something new together.
You'll come out having done something genuinely unusual, with a phone full of photos and something to talk about that isn't the film you just watched.
It's the Docklands. It's Friday. And Ireland's biggest ball pit is waiting.
